DESCENT ON OYAAGAA (EARTH) OF OUR FIRST BROTHERS
The six OEMII (PERSONS) who left for this Planet for the first time were:
OEOEE 95 Son of OEOEE 91: Specialist in BAAYIODUIII (BIOLOGY). Then 31 terrestrial years of age. Director of the expedition. At present holding the post of OGIIA (HEAD) of coordination, from UMMO, of the brothers sent here
UURIO 79 Son of IYIA 5: Expert in BIIEUIGUU (Human psychobiology). Then 18 terrestrial years of age. (The only one of that expedition who still remains on this Planet)
INOOO 33 Daughter of INOOO 29: Expert in OOLGAA GOO (Physics of the Structure of Matter). 18 terrestrial years of age.
ODDIOA 1 son of ISAAO132: Specialized in AYUU WADDOSOOIA (Communications), 78 terrestrial years of age
ADAA 66 son of ADAA 65: Technician in AYUYISAA (SOCIOLOGY), 22 years of age. (The only brother of ours to have died on Earth.
He died on 6 November 1957 in Yugoslavia, the victim of an accident. (His body could not be recovered).
UORII 19 Daughter of OBAA 7: Expert in Pathology of the Digestive System. 32 years of age
I still remember the images of the departure, which I myself saw on the hemispherical screen of my UULODASAABII (A semi-spherical room which in our SAABI or dwellings serves us for viewing images at a distance; it would not be very accurate to compare it to Terrestrial Television sets). Three OAUOOELEA UEUA OEMM (Lens-shaped SHIPS for galactic journeys) left our UMMO bound for OYAGAA (PLANET EARTH).
Even as regards the most favourable time for departure we were not very fortunate. The possibility was foreseen that several XEE (UMMO YEARS) later the isodynamic conditions of Space would be exceptionally favourable. (We would have arrived on Earth during the year 1952, making the journey in less than 30,000 UIW) (U-C Note: 64.4 days) (owing to the incredibly short distance that prevailed at that time). But the probability of such forecasts being fulfilled was assessed at a level low enough for the decision to depart to be decreed in advance.
The expedition members carried a message with complex instructions allowing a relatively rapid transcription into the terrestrial languages, addressed by the General Council of UMMO to the Council or Head of the inhabitants of this Planet, in case the terrestrials should intercept our brothers.
This letter, printed on a sheet of GUU (Alloy of Iron, carbon and Chromium-Vanadium), bore a series of ideographic images representing human attitudes and gestures, combined with geometric figures and figures expressed in the binary system. The interpretation of its content by experts in terrestrial philology and semantics would not have been difficult, thus permitting the probable first communication of our expedition members with what we supposed to be the GENERAL GOVERNMENT OF OYAAGA (Planet Earth).
The equipment to be carried by the exploring group was complex but small in volume and mass. We did not know the value of the BAAYIODIXAA UUDII coefficient (Untranslatable: The Biological science of Earth has not yet developed this important concept. It is a formula expressing the conditions of biological equilibrium that obtain in a given medium. Each OYAA (Planet) has peculiar conditions that will or will not permit the existence of a biological carbon cycle in its Troposphere. The biogenetic development of the morphology of animals and plants will be a function of a series of physical constants.
This biogenetic development is therefore not the consequence of mere chance, although chance does intervene to a not negligible degree at subatomic levels in the development of genes. So that the form and physiological structure of species will vary considerably from one Planet to another, all the more so the simpler the cellular constitution of the living being.
Not only are the species of filterable viruses of UMMO totally different from those of EARTH, but even at the level of complex multicellular animals it is almost impossible to find great analogies with the species known to terrestrials.
The formula expressing the BAAYIODIXAA UUDIII (A complex function into which a multitude of parameters are integrated, such as: Acceleration of Gravity, atmospheric Ozonization, intensity of Gamma radiation, atmospheric pressure and composition, solar spectrum and radiation, gravitational cycle of possible nearby satellites and planets, atmospheric electrostatic gradient, telluric electric currents, etc., etc.), which together with the percentage composition of the chemical elements of the Planet’s crust makes it possible to predict what the evolutionary orientation of living beings will be, independently of other factors that may alter it, such as mutation-inducing radiation and self-selection through unforeseeable influences of the environment.
This Formula or coefficient is of transcendent importance when it comes to analysing the possibility of an interplanetary journey. But unfortunately it is not easy to know its exact value without a laborious study “in situ”. Without it, explorers run the risk of entering a hostile biological environment in which they may fall victim not only to infectious diseases, against whose germs the organism -Already adapted to another environment- lacks the most elementary defences, but, lacking the appropriate prophylactic means, the OEMII may perish irremediably as soon as the lack of protective equipment for the epidermis and external organs exposes them to the influence of the new Environment:
This protective equipment is different from the special diving suits used by you in exterior and underwater exploration. The individual is provided with a new plastic epidermis that allows perspiration while at the same time preventing the seepage of chemical or biological agents through its pores. Beforehand, a series of devices with functions suited to the needs of each organ are arranged near the natural orifices. Thus: capsules lodged in the nostrils generate oxygen and nitrogen from the tramutation of pure carbon. Moreover: carbon dioxide is captured by the same device and broken down into its basic elements, Carbon and oxygen, the former being tramutated (You say Transmutated: a term that seems to us incorrect) (with release of energy), which is used to warm the epidermis.
The eyes and mouth are suitably protected. Thus the former are fitted with an optical system made up of gas lenses which, controlled by a computer, allow vision to be adapted both to an atmospheric medium and to the vacuum of sidereal space.
A double tube leading to a unit placed in the lumbar region ends in a device attached to the lower lip. Inside, the tube is fitted with mechanical cilia that slowly propel along it capsules containing various concentrated foods. These capsules, of elliptical cross-section, are protected by a very thin gelatinous film highly soluble in saliva. A signal transmitted by coding with the eyelid (Opening and closing it a sequential series of times) propels different capsules to the mouth for the feeding of the exploring brother. The other conduit carries a nutritive serum with different regulated concentrations. The water needed is obtained largely from the individual’s own urine (After a process of salt removal, followed by complete purification and hardening of the chemically pure water by means of carbonates).
The ears are fitted with acoustic transducers excited by a UAXOO-AAXOO (Gravitational-wave transmitter-receiver), which serves to transmit short messages among the members of the group). Messages or conversations of some length are almost always carried out telepathically.
A probe inserted into the rectum through the anus collects the faeces, previously treated with a turbulent current of water at 38 terrestrial degrees centigrade, a device fixed to the buttocks sucking them up. There they are broken down into their basic chemical elements; part of these are gasified and transmuted into oxygen and hydrogen, which will serve for the synthetic production of water. A liquid that will compensate the URINE-WATER for INGESTION cycle for its losses through perspiration. The rest of the elements are tramutated (Transmuted) into IODINE, which will be expelled to the outside in gaseous form.
Once all these devices (all of them small) have been attached to the epidermis, the individual, naked, is sprayed with various protective aerosols. All of them form a thin elastic film that constitutes a true protective epidermis. The subject thus enjoys freedom of movement, can dress in special clothes and move about freely within an atmosphere that is hostile from the biological point of view. However, this new epidermis, this new skin, does not of course protect him from the expansive effects of blood pressure when he finds himself, for example, on the surface of an asteroid practically devoid of atmosphere.
In these cases the explorer does not use any special supplementary space suit. The outermost layer is now covered with a new metallized plastic crust which, observed through a high-magnification optical device, shows a reticular structure (A genuine mesh). Although bodily movements are now slower owing to the greater rigidity of the system, it does not prevent the general dynamism of the OEMII.
Apart from this individual equipment, the expedition members were provided with devices for the conversion of NITROGEN, CARBON, OXYGEN and HYDROGEN of WATER into Carbohydrates and other basic components for emergency Food, to be used on OYAAGAA in case the protein molecules, amino acids and esters of terrestrial foods were the inverse of those of UMMO (All of you know that every asymmetric organic molecule can adopt two forms in space: Dextrorotatory and laevorotatory).
Likewise, apparatus was needed for the purification of water and its synthesis, sounding equipment, photography (We use other systems for fixing images, so that in this case the word PHOTOGRAPHY is not correct). XOOIMAA UYII equipment (For geological sounding). UULUEWAA (Remote-controlled devices that make it possible to pick up sounds and take images, or to monitor the various physical factors of the environment), as well as defence devices whose nature we cannot reveal to you for obvious reasons. The equipment was completed with special detectors for measuring physical magnitudes, recording geological and atmospheric functions, and equipment for telemetry and molecular and spectral analysis.
As we told you in an earlier report, the strategy to be followed towards the inhabitants of OYAAGAA (PLANET EARTH) was studied in depth. We did not know the means of detection or remote control that you possessed. Thus, for example, during our study journey, which we have already related to you, emissions were recorded at 1347 Megacycles and 2402 Mc (called by you decimetric waves); we did not know that these bands were assigned to radiolocation services (TERRESTRIAL RADAR), but in any case we assigned a probabilistic value to that possibility. If, in spite of everything, our brothers were not detected, they had orders to set up an underground observatory equipped with the emergency installations for the synthetic production of water and the stores of basic foods left by our UEWA (SHIPS). Some installations for the synthetic (emergency) production of Carbohydrates and Lipids (edible fats) from the tramutation of silicon and aluminium (We knew of the existence of clays on the terrestrial surface) would solve the problem of food as a last resort, in case the enforced stay were prolonged distressingly should our OAWOLEA UEWA (SHIPS) be late in arriving.
From the observatory a whole cycle of studies of the geological, atmospheric and biogenetic characteristics of this Planet would begin. It was then impossible to foresee the turn the situation would later take, and to what extent observation of the psychological structure of the Terrestrial Social Network would prove feasible. Decisions regarding the way of proceeding to study the men of Earth were to be taken by the expedition members themselves, once on the unknown planet.
All our brave expedition members had families on UMMO: OOEOEE 95: 4 children. UURIO 79 and ADAA 66: 2 children, and the rest one child each. All of them knew what they were exposing themselves to. We had already known unfortunate precedents in which the death of our brothers was the result of our scientific spirit. On UMMO we maintain a gregarious mentality so developed that there are practically no serious problems of discipline in our Social Network. The OEMII (MAN) may feel humiliated when he has to obey a superior much younger than himself, or of the opposite sex, but he almost always submits willingly, while always retaining the right he has to disagree ideologically with his superior and to set out to him his own reasoned point of view whenever he wishes. The OEMII of UMMO is, moreover, freer than terrestrial man in hierarchical relations. However, the exceptional conditions involved in an interplanetary expedition demand that relations among the members of the exploring group be strengthened with rigid disciplinary criteria. They choose freely (Once selected according to their special psychosomatic gifts) to accept the severe norms of the group.
We need no formula of Oath or solemn expression of a vow of obedience like some religious orders of Earth. From the moment we agree to join the small group of travellers, we know with crystal clarity that our will must be absolutely subordinated to that of our Superior. Be that superior man or woman. Our bodies are completely at his or her disposal. Understand that we are going to be immersed in a strange and perhaps hostile world, where the indiscipline of one member can have serious repercussions on the fellow expedition members and on the scientific interests of the UMMOAELEWE and of our Social Network of UMMO. The minimum punishment for a transgression may be to present ourselves before our superior suffering the humiliation (Very marked for our Psychology) of showing ourselves totally devoid of clothing before him. Physical punishments, proscribed long ago on UMMO, may be applied with extreme rigour, as may the loss of life. But these last sanctions have not had to be applied since our first journey to Earth.
________________________________
At 4 hours, 16 minutes and 42 seconds GMT (GREENWICH terrestrial time), the OAWOOLEAIDAA took place (This word is untranslatable into a terrestrial language). That is the name given to the critical instant at which the interplanetary Ship UEWA OEMM with its pilots undergoes an axial inversion of its subatomic particles, which means the substitution of one three-dimensional referential system for another. This change of dimensions is necessary for us in order to make a journey using the shortest real distance, which of course differs from the distance travelled by light in the other referential system of the three-dimensional space in which we normally live. The Owooleaidaa, seen by an observer on the ground, presents very singular peculiarities. For example: the UEWA (LENS-SHAPED INTERPLANETARY SHIP) Appears suddenly, as if emerging from nowhere, or disappears instantly when the process is reversed. In reality the disappearance is apparent, since the ship goes on existing within another three-dimensional system. However, another ship wishing to pursue it within the same three-dimensional frame would find it impossible not only to see it but to establish any kind of contact with it (Mechanical, radio or gravitational). The vivid orange colour given off by our UEWA is due to a peculiar incandescence provoked artificially to decontaminate it of all kinds of living germs that may adhere to its surface. Germs which, if that precaution were not taken, would also be “inverted three-dimensionally” and carried to our Planet, with the unforeseeable consequences of a biological order that are easy to imagine.
Another easily detectable characteristic is undoubtedly the very strong magnetic field that appears in the vicinity of the axis of symmetry of our Ships (And perhaps of other spacecraft of other presumed extraterrestrial beings). This magnetic Field, which reaches, expressed in terrestrial units, several thousand Webers / metre2, is not, as many imagine, an indication that our propulsion system is magnetodynamic. This strong magnetic induction is nothing but the axial inversion, through an angle of ninety degrees, of the electrostatic Field Intensity produced by a powerful generator whose function consists in inverting the subatomic particles of the ship and its occupants. (Remember that the vectors representing the Gravitational, electrostatic and magnetic fields form a trihedron within pluridimensional Space. The three Fields are in reality identical. It is our illusory physiological perception that attributes a different nature to them according to their orientation)
Well then, we repeat (after this necessary explanatory digression): At that time mentioned, three of our OAWOOLEA UEWA OEMM (SPACESHIPS) “suddenly appeared” at a point at an altitude of 7.338 Kilometres above a place situated some 13 Km. from the French town of DIGNE and 8 Kilometres from the village of LA JAVIE (DEPARTMENT OF BASSES ALPES), not far from the border of the Cantonal and federal Republic of SWITZERLAND. It was 28 March 1950. The three ships descended rapidly, landing at 4 hours 17 minutes and three seconds GMT.
The extensible legs of the ships barely sank into the rocky ground of an alpine spur, near what we later identified as the Peak of “CHEVAL BLANC”, 2322.95 metres above mean sea level, and the small river “BLEONE”.
For some 20 UIW nobody left our ships, awaiting a possible attack; our equipment probed within a radius of 800 metres for the possible emission of infrared radiation from human beings.
A thick cloud cover prevented direct vision of the surroundings at that hour. The images obtained with a waveband of 740 millimicrons wavelength nevertheless made it possible to view the surroundings. Plants of strange morphology grew nearby. The eroded morphology of the terrain made it possible to recognise some marked features, such as the bed of the river mentioned. Not until the following morning was it possible to identify the nature of a group of dim lights that appeared at three definite points in the distance.
Having made sure that no detectable trace of human beings appeared in the vicinity, four of our brothers, not expedition members, out of the thirty-six who made up the total complement of the three ships, went out.
They were provided with protective equipment and defence devices. One of the UEWA remained suspended 30 centimetres above the ground to cover their withdrawal in case of attack. In pairs, they spent 10 Uiw exploring the surroundings, continually sounding the ground to detect possible underground sounds coming from human installations in the Subsoil. Such precautions will seem naive to you, but for us at that time the hypothesis that terrestrial human beings lived underground had by no means been ruled out.
The place, however, seemed deserted. Some insects were collected from the ground and some plant species were pulled up, later identified according to the botanical classification of Earth as “Valeriana Celta” and “Erica Carnea”, and taken to the Ship, where everyone was able to examine them with joyful curiosity. As was to be expected, the morphology of those small animals and plants differed from that of the species known on UMMO.
Shortly afterwards the six expedition members came out, accompanied by twenty members of the crew. It was necessary to begin work on an emergency underground construction. A sample assessment was made of the characteristics of the soil. What drew most attention was the absence of TITANIUM in the chemical composition of rocks and earth (In our soil on UMMO this chemical element is as frequent as aluminium in terrestrial clays). Numerous phenocrysts were detected included in porphyritic rocks. The disintegration of igneous rocks was more than evident on checking the dosimetric composition of sand and clay. The abundant carbonates and silicates made it possible to draw up a first hypothesis of the geological evolution of that terrain.
It was necessary to carry out the boring by melting sandstone and limestone at high temperature. The high siliceous content of the soil caused a serious problem at first, which was quickly solved. The materials thus melted were transmuted into an isotope of Nitrogen. In this way no heaps of earth appeared outside that would have revealed our presence to presumed terrestrial human observers.
Work went on all night until 7 o’clock. Shortly before dawn our UEWA moved to a small grove of strange trees with filamentous leaves, later identified by the terrestrial name “PINUS MONTANA”.
The Gallery opened in the subsoil, 4 metres long, at a depth of 8 metres, and shored up with IGAAYUU (A kind of extensible modular CENTRINGS of a very light Magnesium alloy), remained at a very high temperature (About 500 degrees), even though the melting of the products or compounds of the subsoil by means of a nuclear energy process is followed by very rapid cooling. It was also necessary to solve the problem of the condensation of water vapour in the form of little clouds which, rising from the gallery in a tall column, might reveal our presence. It was necessary to seal the mouth of the tunnel or gallery with a plastic sheet and to collect by suction the fumes given off by the combustion of the organic substances of the soil.
The new day offered the expedition members a beautiful new spectacle. For the first time they found themselves face to face with a new World, a new geological structure. The sky was bluer than on UMMO. Numerous stratocumulus clouds dimmed the sky of the region that day. Soon the presence of two artificial structures (Humble dwellings), situated 1.3 and 1.9 Kilometres away respectively, was noticed. The origins of the lights seen at dawn were fully cleared up: they corresponded to the towns or small settlements of DIGNE and LA JAVIE. The anarchic form of the strange buildings caught our attention. In DIGNE a strange tower stood out, which we have since learned corresponds to an old Roman Catholic Cathedral of the XIIIth Century. The high-magnification optical instruments revealed the images of the first terrestrial beings. No exceptional activity or nervousness was detected in those persons, perhaps unaware of the presence of our brothers nearby.
Also, at a distance of 200 metres, some strange prismatic pillars were found together with other artificial materials. All in an evident state of ruin. They were face to face with the first recorded work of terrestrial human beings. We have since learned that it was an old small shed for storing fodder, but the discovery filled our brothers with emotion. Samples were taken of the pillars and their interior was radiographed. The analysis showed the presence of a binding substance of complex mixture in which Calcium sulphate, aluminates and small quantities of mineral oxides intervened (We have since learned that it was supersulphated Cement), as well as fragments of rock and sand in almost constant dosed proportion (We have since learned that these were the classic aggregates on EARTH for Concrete.) The analysis of the interior of those columns showed some rods of evident ferrous composition.
